As this is my first attempt at blogging I am now at a slight loss as where to start !
Perhaps with Spring?Although, as I write the weather has turned from heat wave to dismal in its normal British fashion.
How ever don’t get me wrong this has brought a welcome relief from working under a baking sun and much needed refreshment for all my soils. One of which resembles the Essex coastline the other an estuary after the tide has gone out to play.
I cultivate and ‘play’ outside in one garden of pretty average proportions , two allotments and my rented cutting garden affectionately known as ‘bloomers’,where yesterday I was attempting to plant out white Antirhinums and florists Ageratum into what can only be described as concrete. Hopefully tomorrow where further attempts at planting will take place this will now be an effortless and pleasurable task after this soft, gentle spring rain.
I will attempt to offer images of all this soon but in the meantime please accept these few descriptive words instead : lush greens, fading wall flowers and vibrant orange calendula marigolds in a bright red enamel coffee pot.
